Active cases slowly fall, 63 new COVID-19 cases confirms Brazos County Health District

The community-wide test positivity rate remains steady at 10% in Brazos County. The 18-24 year old age group accounts for 78 percent of the new confirmed cases. We continue to enjoy a low case fatality rate of 1%. Masking has likely been the key to opening the economy while being safe. We are far more mobile about town now than we were in May. A mask is a low cost solution. We can go about town and do about everything we need. Indeed, a mask is cheaper than a vaccine and may actually be more effective than a vaccine (we shall see). The next community challenge may be with the holiday season as young adults return home to their parents and grandparents for turkey day and Christmas cheer. https://ift.tt/1VMjaZw
