The dangers of physical inactivity revisited in 45-year study

Get up and go. If you spend more than 50% of your waking hours seated, find ways to increase mobility. Get up and get your own cup of water instead of asking someone else to bring it for you. Walk while reading your emails on your phone in the office or at home. Check the mail box every day. Park further from the store entrance and walk in. Consider a stand desk or walk desk at work. Avoid products of convenience such as remote controlled lights and ceiling fans--get up and manually actuate. Ever tried watching TV while standing?
