Avoid venturing into the center aisles if you do not specifically have an item on your grocery list (or in mind) which is located there. Do not enter the center aisles simply to browse or to "see what's on sale".
If you show up to the grocery store without a plan or list, stick to the perimeter. That's where the fruits, veggies, dairy, meats and bulk grains/nuts are typically located.
